How to prepare partner access in TikTok Business Center
Sharing assets with another business requires clarity about who authorizes access, what will be shared and which tasks are expected. Before sending an invitation, turn the agreement into a list of resources and responsibilities. This helps you verify the outcome beyond an invitation-sent message.
Define the scope of sharing
We suggest recording the partnership's purpose, the responsible contact at each business and a review date. Confirm the identifier with the partner instead of selecting an organization with a similar name. Keep credentials out of this record.
- The business authorizing access and the business receiving it.
- The identifier confirmed by the responsible contact.
- Accounts and assets included in the work.
- Permitted tasks and the person who will verify the result.
Use the official partner workflow
TikTok lets an administrator add a partner using the partner's Business Center ID. In the partner area, the administrator enters the ID, chooses assets and permissions, then confirms sharing. Consult the official procedure while doing this because the interface can vary.
Verify access to the correct asset
After acceptance, ask the partner's responsible person to check the account identity and expected tasks. Seeing an account in a list is different evidence from being able to perform the agreed work. Verify with an action appropriate to the scope, without publishing or changing campaigns solely as a test.
| Observed situation | What to check next |
|---|---|
| Invitation still pending | Confirmation by the authorized recipient |
| Account does not appear | Identifier, selected asset and acceptance |
| Account visible but task unavailable | The specific permission required by the task |
| Requirements have changed | Scope review with the person authorizing access |
Keep access aligned with the work
TikTok provides controls for a Business Center administrator to adjust partner permissions. When responsibilities change, review the corresponding access too. Recording the reason and date of a change makes the next review easier.
A useful verification example
Fictional example: a team was hired only to analyze results, but the request grants broad administrative access. Before treating that scope as necessary, both businesses should compare the assigned task with the requested permission and adjust the agreement. Access should match the work, with a responsible person identified.
If a problem occurs, record the step, asset and displayed message. Hide personal information in screenshots. Use the inventory to track what was authorized and review access when the service ends or changes.
